why live in Spring Hill?

The great thing about Spring Hill is that there is always something going on there is such a variety of people. You have a little run down cottage on your left and a million dollar prestige property on your right. It’s a suburb made for people watching, with families, students, office workers, and more, all nearby of one another! As it’s such a high-density area, you are very close to your neighbours so it’s not for everyone, but if you’re looking for a suburb that is close to the CBD but still gives you options like houses, Spring Hill is fantastic!

WHY WE LOVE Spring Hill

Spring Hill is one of the oldest residential neighbourhoods in Brisbane, with many houses dating from the nineteenth century. As an example, some of the larger lots in Sedgebrook Street were surveyed in the 1870s. However, in recent decades much of the older residential and commercial structures have been demolished, replaced by modern office blocks and apartment buildings. With many schools in the area, Spring Hill has become a popular suburb for older families and the larger homes highly demanded by this demographic.

Being so close to the CBD, Spring Hill has a variety of commercial and business areas as well as smaller shopping zones. As with Petrie Terrace, this high-density area means lot sizes are smaller and houses closer together, so get used to being friends with your neighbours!

With high-density residential apartments closer towards the CBD and the housing further out, this is an attractive suburb that supports every level of property owner. Spring Hill is home to the Old Windmill and Spring Hill Baths, and also plays host to many vibrant cafes and restaurants, making this area a unique inner-city paradise.
