why live in Brisbane CBD?

WHAT LOCALS SAY

The City is a great place to live! As with any large city most of the CBD is apartments, and that can mean that it gets quite noisy of an evening and can also be quite a bit more expensive than the suburbs. There are large shopping centres and around the CBD with malls and specialty shops in main streets. With so much close by, you will rarely need a car unless you’re leaving Brisbane, as the bus and train transport goes quite a way out.

WHY WE LOVE Brisbane CBD

The heart of Brisbane, the City, offers a discovery in every direction. Home to over 1000 stores, including the largest range of flagship boutiques in Queensland, it is the state’s premier shopping destination. The Brisbane CBD is also a food and drinks lover’s paradise, with everything from burger joints and riverside bistros to laneway bars and hidden cafes, as well as the best Food Guide- awarded venues in Queensland! Besides shopping and eating, you’ll find The City Sounds free music program, countless events, a cinema, a casino, parks, galleries, performance spaces and even a bowling alley.

Predominantly apartments, the City is the hub of Brisbane, and as such, is easily walkable to most entertainment districts and the cultural centres of South Bank. Most apartments within the city overlook beautiful views over the Brisbane River, and there are lovely areas towards the Wharf that suit a casual lifestyle.
